Terms of use
Effective 11 October 2026 ยท Updated 16 October 2026
The short version
- Logpulse is a paid app. You start with a 1 week free trial, then pay $11.99 a month or $114.99 a year (AUD) through the App Store.
- If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or a billing period ends, Apple charges you and it renews automatically.
- Cancel any time in iPhone Settings. Apple handles billing and refunds.
- Food data from barcode scans comes from Open Food Facts and can be wrong. Check the label.
- The coach runs on your phone and gives general guidance, not medical advice.
- Your data stays on your phone. See the privacy policy.
1. Who we are
Logpulse and mylogpulse.com are run by Ben Guerrero, a sole trader on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, trading as Logpulse ("we", "us"). Contact: logpulsesupport@gmail.com.
2. The app licence
The Logpulse iPhone app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, together with these terms. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement applies. You must be 16 or older to use Logpulse.
3. Subscription and free trial
Logpulse is a paid app. There is no free version; everything in the app is included in Logpulse Pro.
- Plans. Logpulse Pro Monthly is $11.99 a month and Logpulse Pro Yearly is $114.99 a year, in Australian dollars including GST. Prices in other countries are shown in the App Store in your local currency.
- Free trial. New subscribers get 1 week free. Your Apple ID confirms the trial when you start it. One free trial per Apple ID, shared across the monthly and yearly plans.
- Charging and renewal. When the trial ends, Apple charges your Apple ID for the plan you chose unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The subscription then renews automatically each month or year, and Apple charges you within 24 hours before each new period, until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Logpulse. You can also get there from the app (You, then the gear icon, then Manage subscription). If you cancel during the trial you won't be charged. If you cancel after paying, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds. Payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and decided under Apple's rules. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (section 9).
- Price changes. If we change the price, Apple tells you in advance and, where Apple's rules require it, asks for your agreement before charging the new price.
- Deleting your data in the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in iPhone Settings.
4. Barcode scanning and food data
When you scan a barcode, Logpulse looks the product up in Open Food Facts, a free database built by volunteers. Its data is made available under the Open Database Licence. Product names and nutrition values there, and in Logpulse's own food list, can be missing, out of date or wrong. Always check the nutrition panel on the pack if accuracy matters to you, and edit any entry in the app if it's off. Logpulse is not connected to or endorsed by Open Food Facts.
5. The coach
The coach runs on your iPhone, using Apple's on device language model where available or rules built into the app. It gives general guidance on training and food for healthy people aged 16 and over. AI answers can be wrong or incomplete; use your own judgement and don't rely on the coach for medical, dietetic or injury advice. Suggested changes to your targets only apply if you accept them.
6. Health information
Our health disclaimer applies to everything in Logpulse. The app, the calculators and the articles give general information for healthy people. They are not medical, dietetic or other professional advice, and they don't replace care from your doctor or an Accredited Practising Dietitian. Calorie, macro and energy numbers are estimates. Stop and get medical help if you feel unwell while changing how you eat or train. If you're pregnant, have a medical condition, or have a history of disordered eating, speak to a health professional before using calorie targets. If you're struggling with food or body image, the Butterfly Foundation helpline is 1800 33 4673. In an emergency call 000.
7. Your data
What you log is stored on your iPhone, not on our servers, so we can't recover it if your phone is lost, reset or the app is deleted. Keep your phone backed up. How we handle information is set out in the privacy policy.
8. Using Logpulse fairly
Please don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app, try to get around the subscription, or use it in a way that breaks the law. You're welcome to read, share and link to anything on mylogpulse.com, but please don't copy whole articles or pass our content off as your own.
9. Australian Consumer Law and our liability
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. To the extent the law allows, and apart from those guarantees, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss from using Logpulse, including decisions you make based on its estimates, and our total liability is limited to resupplying the service or the amount you paid for it in the previous 12 months.
10. Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app. You can stop using Logpulse at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, you also keep any rights your local consumer law gives you.
