Effective 10 October 2026 ยท Updated 16 October 2026: paid app with a 1 week free trial, barcode lookups, crash reports and the website mailing list

The short version

  • We don't collect your personal information. Everything you log stays on your iPhone, and Logpulse has no servers that receive it.
  • Only three things ever leave your phone: a barcode number when you scan food, a crash report if the app crashes, and your purchase, which Apple handles. None of them include your name, email or anything you log.
  • Voice logging is transcribed on your device. Audio is never saved or sent to us.
  • The AI coach runs on your iPhone. Your questions and logs are not sent to us or to any AI company.
  • Apple Health data is only read to fill in your log. It never leaves your phone.
  • No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and we never sell your information.
  • Deleting the app deletes all of your Logpulse data.

1. Who we are

Logpulse is a nutrition and fitness tracking app made by Ben Guerrero, a sole trader on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, trading as Logpulse ("we", "us"). We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Questions or requests about your privacy: logpulsesupport@gmail.com.

2. What Logpulse stores, and where

The app keeps your information in a private database on your iPhone. None of it is uploaded to us, and we can't see it.

3. What leaves your phone

Three things, and only these:

WhatSent toWhenWhat it contains
A barcode numberOpen Food Facts (section 6)When you scan a food barcodeThe barcode number only
A crash reportSentry (section 10)When the app crashes or a screen fails to loadTechnical details of the error, your iPhone model and iOS version. Nothing you log.
Your purchaseApple (section 9)When you start a trial or subscribeHandled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID

None of these include your name, email, phone number, body measurements, logs, coach chats or Apple Health data, and none are used to identify or track you. If we ever add accounts that sync across devices, we will update this policy and ask for your permission before any of your information leaves your phone.

4. Voice logging

When you tap the microphone, Apple's speech recognition turns your words into text on your device. Logpulse requests on device recognition, so audio is not sent to us or kept. Only the resulting text, such as "300 grams of chicken breast", is saved in your log.

5. The AI coach

Logpulse includes a coach that answers questions about training and food and suggests changes to your calorie and macro targets.

  • On your phone. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, answers are written by Apple's on device language model. Your question and the logs it uses are processed on your iPhone and are not sent to us, to Apple's servers or to any other AI provider. On other iPhones the coach uses rules built into the app, also on your phone.
  • Target changes are suggestions. The weekly check-in uses your logged food and weigh ins to suggest new targets. Nothing changes unless you tap to accept it.
  • Safety limits. The coach will not suggest eating below a safe minimum, losing more than 1% of body weight a week, or anything about medicines, hormones or supplement doses. If a message suggests someone may be struggling, it points to free Australian support services instead.
  • It can be wrong. AI answers can contain mistakes. The coach gives general fitness guidance, not medical advice.

You can clear your coach chat at any time from the Coach screen.

6. Barcode scanning and Open Food Facts

The camera is used only to read barcodes on food packaging. No photos or video are taken or stored. When a barcode is read, its number is sent to Open Food Facts, a free public food database run by a non profit in France, to look up the product's name and nutrition. The barcode number is the only thing sent; your name, logs and account details are not. Like any website, Open Food Facts receives your phone's internet address when it answers the request, and it has its own privacy policy.

7. Apple Health

If you switch on Apple Health in Logpulse, the app reads your steps, workouts and body weight so you don't have to log them by hand. Logpulse does not write to Apple Health. Health data:

  • stays on your phone,
  • is never used for advertising or marketing,
  • is never sold or shared with anyone.

You can turn the connection off at any time in Logpulse (You tab) or in the Health app under Sharing.

8. Notifications

Reminders, such as supplement reminders and your evening check in, are scheduled on your iPhone. You can turn them off in the app or in iPhone Settings.

9. Subscription, free trial and payments

Logpulse is a paid app. New subscribers get a 1 week free trial, then Logpulse Pro renews monthly or yearly through the App Store (see our terms and pricing). Apple handles your payment details and the trial; we never see your card, bank details or Apple ID. Apple tells the app only whether your subscription or trial is active and when it renews or ends. Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

10. Crash reports

When the app crashes or a screen fails to load, Logpulse sends a crash report to Sentry, a service we use to find and fix bugs. A crash report contains:

  • the error and where in the app's code it happened,
  • the screens you moved between just before it,
  • the Logpulse version, your iPhone model and iOS version.

It does not contain anything you've logged or typed (food, weight, workouts, coach chats), your name, email, phone number or Apple Health data. We've set Sentry not to store IP addresses. Crash reports are not linked to you, are not used for tracking or advertising, and are deleted after 90 days at most. Sentry stores them in the United States.

11. What we don't do

  • We don't show ads.
  • We don't use analytics or tracking tools, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. Crash reports (section 10) are used only to fix bugs.
  • We don't sell, rent or trade your information.

12. Emails and this website

  • In the app. The email address and email preference you enter in the app stay on your phone. We don't receive them, so we can't email you from the app.
  • Our mailing list. If you sign up on mylogpulse.com, we receive the email address you enter, the page you signed up from, and your consent. We use it only to send Logpulse news and new articles. The form is run by our web host, Netlify, which stores sign ups in the United States. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or email us and we'll delete your address.
  • Browsing the website. mylogpulse.com doesn't use cookies, analytics or ad trackers. Like any website, our host keeps standard server logs, such as your internet address and browser, for security.

13. Your choices and your rights

  • See or change your information: everything you've entered is visible and editable in the app.
  • Delete your information: delete individual entries in the app, use Settings, Delete account to erase everything at once, or delete the Logpulse app to remove all of its data from your phone. Data in an iCloud or iTunes backup of your phone follows Apple's backup settings. Deleting your Logpulse data doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that in iPhone Settings.
  • Ask us a question or make a complaint: contact us using the details on the Support page. We aim to reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

14. Age

Logpulse is for people aged 16 and over. The app does not let anyone younger set up a profile.

15. Health information

Logpulse gives general estimates of calories, macros and weight trends. It is not medical advice. Speak to a doctor or dietitian before making big changes to your diet or training, especially if you have a health condition.

16. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is handled, such as adding cloud sync, we will tell you in the app first.

Say what you ate and did. Logpulse logs it, and your data stays on your iPhone.
